I can only hope that this pandemic forces people to evaluate political priorities towards the care of the homeless and the most vulnerable in our society, and away from bolstering the wealth of the powerful few.

Let’s hope this ruling is the beginning of a brighter future and a better safety net for all, regardless of immigration status.

It is likely that the economy will take some time to recover and we anticipate greater levels of long-term unemployment, so there will be many more people struggling to buy food.

If direct funding it can be used to rescue the banks, why can’t it be used to rescue the people? Why should they have to pay the price?

Philosophically speaking, being stuck at home gives us time to understand ourselves.

Every other industry in the UK is properly regulated, yet newspaper websites read by millions of people every day get away with intrusive and inaccurate reporting with little to no justice for those impacted.

This crisis demonstrates the lamentable missed opportunity Britain had to install a politician who actually gave a damn about ordinary people.

As the situation worsens or improves, choices will have be made regarding the types of societies we would like to see in the future.

If Covid-19 has taught us anything it is that we can do things differently.
