Watch: Emily Thornberry says Boris Johnson is ‘not a truthful man’
“At the same time as they’re discussing money, they’re discussing a pet project," the shadow attorney general told C4 News.
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is a British politician and writer serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019. He was Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 2016-2018 and Mayor of London 2008-2016. Johnson has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015 and was previously MP for Henley from 2001 to 2008. He has been described as adhering to the ideology of one-nation and national conservatism.
“At the same time as they’re discussing money, they’re discussing a pet project," the shadow attorney general told C4 News.
Wales's First Minister said Johnson's Government is "politically paralysed".
Labour said Lord Brownlow gained access to ministers because he was paying for the Downing Street flat revamp.
The messages suggest Boris Johnson appeared to support a Great Exhibition plan by Lord Brownlow while requesting help with flat revamp.
The PM told Lord Geidt he had changed numbers and lost incriminating messages with a Tory donor.
"Johnson thinks it is great that pint glasses now have a royal crown again. Hopefully this grand achievement will comfort all those Brits in the pub, drowning their sorrow at the stupidity of their own government."
“With most opinion polls as they stand, Conservatives could control fewer London boroughs than they have at any point in the 50 years of the existence of these boroughs," a Tory party polling expert has said.
The PM refused to self-isolate, despite coming into close contact with a Covid-positive No 10 aide last January.
By his logic, a knighthood for Boris Johnson could also be in the offing following his tenure.
