Liz Truss has hit out at the French authorities for the border chaos, but the government rejected an offer to double the number of passport booths in 2020.
"Britons are now faced with the reality of travel post-Brexit, as more checks need to be carried out ", the Brexit-backing newspaper said.
They were warned that it would make queues at the port more likely.
"Since brexit it's been necessary to have every single passport stamped at Dover... and as a result of that everything takes much longer..."
"Boris Johnson may have been our worst prime minister ever, but that doesn't mean Liz Truss can't be worse," wrote Edwin Hayward.
"Glad this is us holding all the cards, otherwise this would be a monumental waste of money," wrote Toby Earle.
