Londoners will be able to get half price taxis all summer after Europe’s largest e-hailing app announced that it is offering 50 per cent off for all riders every weekend.
With some of the summer’s biggest events just round the corner, mytaxi aims to let Londoners enjoy the fastest, safest and most comfortable way to end a day or night out, at an even lower cost.
From 5pm on Fridays to midnight every Sunday, all rides booked through the mytaxi app will be available at 50 per cent off. All riders need to do is choose card payment within the app.
With more than 17,500 black cabs and a wait time of less than three minutes in central London, mytaxi is making sure there’s a quality ride available wherever you need, from a lift to the Sunfall afterparties this weekend, to a quick route home from Carnival to close out your Summer. All free from surge charging. You don’t need to be a new user or obtain a code to claim the discount, just order and go.
mytaxi only works with black cabs, so, as well as benefiting from the latest technology, all mytaxi drivers in London have completed the Knowledge; memorising 25,000 streets and 20,000 landmarks to guarantee they’ll know the best routes to get passengers to their destination faster.
The discount will disappear as Summer comes to a close on Sunday September 3rd. the mytaxi app is free to download on Apple App Store and Google Play.
