A video of Syrian rebels allegedly hitting a Russian-made helicopter, and killing a Marine, which was searching for the pilots of the su-24 jet downed today on the Turkey/Syria border, has emerged.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, it was struck with an anti-tank missile. It is claimed a Russain marine was killed during the operation.

In the film released by the FSA a missile can be seen travelling towards the helicopter, which has landed, before it explodes.

Moments before a soldier is seen assembling a US manufactured TOW portable anti-tank missile launcher on a hillside, then aiming at the chopper.

A narrator says “Allahu Akbar” – meaning “God is great” – as the missile hits and destroys the Russian military transporter.

The Russian Defence Ministry said the helicopter was part of a search-and-rescue effort.
